Its always a treat at Beth Maries. Its my favorite Ice Cream place and it's not even close. The old time ice cream shop feel is awesome. Their flavors are always great. This was my first time at this location and parking was a lot better than the Denton Square location and still had the same feel to it. Of course I will be back.

Some of the best ice cream ever they really take pride in what they do here. Great atmosphere great employees. I usually prefer Frozen Custard over ice cream so the fact that I'm willing to come here for ice cream on a consistent basis says something!

Had the 1/2 sandwich and soup. The chicken pot pie soup was outstanding. Been here twice. The food is good, but rated 3 stars because they really need to work on employee training, systems and execution.

The quality of the ice cream is good. There were about 25 options, not 100 but many good choices. Nuts, fruits, vanilla, choc, etc... But the price was ridiculous. $14 and change for 5 very small scoops?!? It comes to 78 cents an ounce and they weigh the cups and cones to the tenth of an ounce. Most places encourage you to buy a large with a slightly cheaper price on the 2nd scoop and 3rd. Not here. It was decently busy. I would go to Kroger unless you have money to burn and no ride. It was clean inside.

I love the german chocolate cake flavor. Never had this anywhere else.

Home made ice cream in a pleasing venue. Many flavors. Enough seating inside and out.

We've been to this location many times it's not nearly as busy as the location at The Square. It's very noticeable from the street. It has ice cream cones painted on the outer walls and is next to a water fountain. The service is always great. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. It's a great stop for dessert after eating at one of the nearby restaurants.

It was so yummy! I had just gotten my haircut from the next-door neighbor Salon La Page and I was feeling a crave from some delicious ice cream. When I walked in the ice cream shop, I got hit with a yummy smell! The dine in is so cute and old fashion just like it says! Good service and nice atmosphere! AND REALLY GOOD ICE CREAM!! :)))

We had a party here and everything went so smoothly. Jackie was a pleasure to work with. And everyone loved the make-your-own ice cream sundaes!

I love this place! The ice cream is fresh and delicious. So many flavors to choose from. My new favorites include the TX Doctor and Darkrise.

We tried to order a cake for our coworkers birthday and we were met with many obstacles including a horrible attitude from whatever moody teenager boy picked up the phone. We told him we would pay for the cake day of pick up because we expense it through our office . He told us we had to pay in advance because he thought we were pranking them. We had ordered one previously for a different coworker without issue. We were told that it was supposed to be 48 hours in advance. We ordered on time however they stated that they only had 2 cake options and 10 ice cream options. Beth Marie’s customer service is the equivalent to McDonald’s. If something is seasonal then they should state so on their website. Neglecting to do so is bordering on false advertising. 0/5 stars

Many flavors of ice cream, so many it's hard to make up your mind, because they are all so delicious!

This is a local favorite and hidden gem of Denton. If you haven't tried it, you'll be happy once you do. They have Excellent (made from scratch) ice cream and sweet treats. If I ate there as often as I'd like to, in afraid I'd have to open both of their double doors to make it inside.

When you go to Beth Marie's, the smell of freshly-baked cones is expected. The nostalgic feel of old-time soda fountains and ice cream parlors is just part of the experience. Read any of the 200+ reviews below.What I really came on Google to do was give a shout out to Elsie who very patiently walked me through the plethora of flavors while obviously training two new employees. She was very sweet, knew what she was doing, and even waited for me while I paced up and down the glass panels trying to decide which of their many flavors to grace my waffle cone. So if you're reading this, thanks Elsie! You made my Monday infinitely better.

Flavor wise, it's okay. First time I ordered from there and they didnt have bananas for banana split.(they did give me $1.00 off) They also forgot to give me the brownies even though i paid. I think flavor wise Braum's ice creamm is better.

This is one of 3 Beth Marie locations and none of them disappoint! Plethora of ice cream flavors, sundaes, banana split, ice cream cupcakes and a few savory options! Typically a small wait because it's so popular and everyone wants to try various samples but totally worth the wait. My favorite is always the cobbler warmed with ice cream. Today I had Peach with vanilla ice cream and it is so good that I was willing to leave the house 3 days post neck fusion surgery in order to go get it! That speaks volumes

The baa baa black berry is the best ice cream I've ever had. This Denton institution is a treasure that must be experienced. The service is always great and they consistently are polite and get you check out quickly. Too notch ice cream joint and a perfect slice of small town life.

This is a highlight of the downtown Denton square... you walk in & feel like you've stepped back in time... very airy but also cozy. My boss used to take us there when he felt we had done a job or conference well! A great selection of tasty ice creams, in every bowl or cup or cone! What a special treat to go & eat there, & of course it's always pretty busy, everyone who is anyone knows this is the place to be!

We were super excited to try this ice cream shop because we were told it was the best. Should have just gone to Baskin Robin's . The kids working behind the counter didnt make our orders right even though I'm standing there telling them. Ice cream melted before we even sat down. Place is cute but we are not coming back till there is trained staff.

We absolutely love Beth Marie’s! I’ve enjoyed their ice cream since I was young and would often take dates to the location on the square. Plenty of delicious variety to choose from including seasonal favorites. Excellent old school malt shop feel and friendly knowledgeable associates. I highly suggest the bees knees if they have it!

I ordered the caramel spiced cake (something or another) sundae. It was one of the best desserts I have ever tasted and that really is the truth. Very friendly staff of young people with big smiles on their faces. Very pleasant dessert dining experience.

I enjoyed this soda shop. Nice lady serving. Forgot to ask if she was Beth. My Sunday was great. They have plenty of flavors to choose from. They serve your drinks and ice creams from old fashioned dessert glasses. I believe they even have some sandwiches on the menu. Good anytime, even in a cold day like today. Oh, and they also have Hot Cocoa!

The ice cream and fresh baked cones are amazing. Just don't let the big board of flavors trick you. The selection rotates so be prepared to have a plan b and possibly c flavor in mind.

This is a covid specific review. I drove 45 minutes to eat this ice cream but I made sure to call first to ask, "Are you open." The girl told me that they were. She didn't offer to tell me that 1) there is no dine-in service and 2) There is a limited menu. The specific item we came to get was not being served. When I tried to tell the gal in the shop that I called ahead but was not given all the information, she just kept telling me, "We are open." That's not sufficient. I understand this is a difficult time but let's provide a little extra customer service. If someone calls to ask if you are open, you should be telling them all the caveats. :( Otherwise, we always enjoy the ice cream here. Too bad we could not get any today.

I like to try new but relatively plain flavors. I tried the coconut and it was good if you're into that. The coffee flavor that they had was amazing. But I will stick to my original faves, cookies and cream and butter pecan.

Beth Marie's is pretty much regular ice cream at a really good price. They also make their own waffle cones. It also has a really neat atmosphere. I would recommend going.

They gave a tour for our Girl Scout Troop and we learned so much about how ice cream was made! Such a treat!

Best banana split ever! Haven't had one in years and it was just as excellent as I remember. The fella that took our order was super nice. Can't wait to come back to town. Yay!

Great place!! Servers are so friendly and helpful. So many Ice cream flavours, and other things like phosphates, egg cream, and floats! Decor is retro and they have lovely outside seating. A variety of homemade waffle bone cones, normal, chocolate, and chocolate dipped!

Wonderful establishment. Makes you proud to be a Dentonite. The ice cream is the best thing there so don’t be fooled with the cookies and brownies. Stick with what they’re best at!

If you're from out of town you should definitely take a trip here! Lots of flavors; all tasty. I got the honey lavender ice cream and my ice cream craving was delightfully fulfilled.

Great ice cream! Like a flashback to the 60s or 70s with cheerful staff and amazing treats. Had a hot fudge sundae that was out of the world, will definitely be going back.

We were guests at a birthday party. The kids had a lot of fun with the sundae bar! Customer service was stellar for the party and when I ordered ice cream to go. The cherry lime and green apple sherbet was so tasty! I want to have my birthday there! *Such a creative menu!*Nothing but good things to say!

I had never been to the Unicorn Lake location. We had a great time celebrating my two granddaughters' birthdays there.

Flavors were good the topping excellent. There were some freezer burned bites that caused me to loose enjoyment of the well crafted flavors. Great atmosphere for a family outing for ice cream.

This is the worst icecream I've ever had. It's grainy and tastes like it's sugar free. Also it was $5 for 2 scoops in a glass dish.
